Raised in the political arena, Susan was exposed to the political life from a very young age. Her father, Lloyd Hand, served as U.S. Chief of Protocol to Lyndon B. Johnson during his tenure as President. As a result, Susan and her family spent many years traveling the world and learning to appreciate people from all walks of life – an experience she brings to her real estate business today.
Susan’s successful real estate career began twenty-six years ago in Los Angeles. Growing up in Beverly Hills, CA and educated at Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA, Susan spent many years selling homes in the South Bay area of Los Angeles including Long Beach, Manhattan Beach and Palos Verdes. In 1990, Susan relocated to the Washington, DC area to join her mother in the formation of her company, Ann Hand, LLC. Susan served as Vice President of the now famous jewelry company creating custom Patriotic jewelry pieces for the likes of First Ladies, Cabinet Members and Ambassadors. In 2002, Susan once again joined the real estate community, this time on the East Coast, and enjoys the pleasure of serving clients in the Washington Metropolitan area.
